There are people you cannot imagine a celebration without. You are those people.
This November in Kolkata, Megha and Vasudev will be married, surrounded by the two families who raised them and the friends who shaped them. It is the happiest occasion either of our homes has known, and it would not be complete without you.
Here you will find your schedule, what to wear, and how to reach us. We are counting the days.

Last October, under the autumn leaves of Central Park, Vasudev asked and Megha said yes. This November, we take the celebration home to Kolkata, and we could not imagine it without you.
The rest of the story is best told in person, ideally on a dance floor.
All events take place at Raajkutir, Kolkata.

All celebrations are held at Raajkutir, Kolkata, a heritage boutique hotel in the Swabhumi complex.
Open in Google MapsThe closest airport is Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport (CCU), about 30 to 45 minutes from the venue by car. Transportation from the airport to the hotel will be arranged for you, and we will coordinate the details with you closer to the date.
If you are travelling from outside India, please check visa requirements early. Most visitors can apply for an Indian e-visa online.
We are arranging rooms for our travelling guests at Raajkutir and nearby. Details on your room arrangements will be shared with your RSVP confirmation, so please reply early.
Late November is one of Kolkata's loveliest stretches: dry, sunny days around 26°C (79°F) and pleasantly cool evenings around 17°C (63°F). A light shawl or jacket is perfect for the outdoor evening events.
If you have a free morning or afternoon between celebrations, the city will reward you. A few of our favourites, all within about 20 to 40 minutes of the venue.
Kolkata's white marble icon, set in sprawling gardens. Loveliest in the late afternoon light, and the museum inside is worth an hour.
Walk the great cantilever bridge, then dip into Mullick Ghat flower market below it. Go at dawn if you can, when the marigolds arrive by the ton.
The largest secondhand book market in the world, plus a coffee at the storied Indian Coffee House. Bring small change and curiosity.
The potters' quarter where artisans sculpt clay idols for the city's festivals. Wander the lanes and watch them work.
Non-negotiable. Rosogolla and mishti doi from Balaram Mullick & Radharaman Mullick or KC Das. Order more than you think you need.
Kolkata's classic dining strip for an evening out, and a kathi roll from Nizam's or Kusum for the walk. The city invented them, so have at least two.
Indian attire is warmly encouraged for every event, and formal Western wear is always welcome. Wear what makes you feel celebratory.
Festive and colourful. Think bright kurtas, lehengas, and salwar suits. Henna will be flowing, so short or rollable sleeves are a practical choice.
Traditional formal. Saris, lehengas, sherwanis, and bandhgalas in rich jewel tones. We kindly ask guests to avoid all-white and all-black outfits.
A royal red evening. Please wear royal red or colours that complement it. Glamorous evening wear, and dancing shoes strongly advised.
